WRC Generations is the next installment in the series of officially licensed rally simulators after WRC 10, and the last one behind the KT Racing studio and Nacon (after Codemasters acquired the license in 2020).

Gameplay

The KT Racing studio's series is a so-called simcade - a mediation between uncompromisingly realistic simulation and entertainment that is accessible to a wide audience. WRC Generations, however, takes another twist in the former direction, offering various changes to the driving model.

The game includes all the rallies (in 13 countries), teams and cars scheduled for the real 2022 WRC season. This includes the novelty of hybrid cars (i.e., equipped with both internal combustion and electric engines), belonging to the Rally1 class and represented by three models: Ford Puma, Toyota GR Yaris and Hyundai i20.

In addition to "current" attractions, WRC Generations also offers additional content. It features special stages located in a total of 22 countries, including Sweden, which has undergone a complete transformation from previous installments of the series. There are also 37 historical and "bonus" cars.

Game modes

The core of the gameplay is an extensive career mode, in which we join one of the existing teams or start our own and strive to reach the WRC championship, climbing gradually and competing in cars belonging to increasingly prestigious classes. In addition to driving, we also manage the team: hiring staff, technological development, etc.

On top of that, there are various multiplayer features, such as ranked time trials, co-op mode (in which one player takes on the role of driver and the other of pilot) or leagues. The latter are new to WRC Generations.
