F1 22 is the thirteenth installment in the series of licensed Formula One racing games. Codemasters studio, a very experienced car maker with a track record that also includes the GRID and DiRT series, is responsible for developing the title. The publisher, as with the previous installment, is Electronic Arts.

Mechanics

The core of the gameplay is racing in cars from the 2022 Formula 1 season on world-famous tracks, including a new one in the series - Miami International Autodrome. We can compete against 10 teams and 20 drivers who have qualified for the real competition. Adding to the realism are (optional) formation laps, safety car runs and interactive pit exits. Once again, we have access to racing in the Formula 2 class - with options for a short, medium or long season.

As in previous installments of the series, we can pile on the final victory of the season in Career mode. In the My Team module, we again head a racing team, created from scratch with a limited budget, and lead it in competition with the other ten.

This installment features F1 Sprint mode, allowing you to try this type of competition, introduced to Formula One in 2021. Also new is F1 Life as a kind of community space, where we brag to other players about the supercars, outfits and accessories we've acquired.

In addition to single-player gameplay, multiplayer modes are available - we can compete with multiple players over the network or with a single friend on a split screen.
