Dakar Desert Rally is a racing game with a rally theme. The production was developed by Saber Porto studio, formerly known as Bigmoon Entertainment, the authors of such projects as Dakar 18 and Trapped Dead: Lockdown.
Mechanics
According to the title, the game allows you to take part in the famous Dakar off-road rally organized by the Amaury Sport Organization. The authors obtained all the necessary licenses, so in the production we will find locations, cars, drivers and teams known from real competitions.
Dakar Desert Rally recreates the 2020 and 2021 editions of the rally. Players can play on more than 30. carefully recreated stages within a large open world.
The game simulates changing seasons and weather conditions, which affects gameplay. Players have to deal with sandstorms, downpours and snowfall, among other things. Cars behave differently in the desert sands and differently driving through deep mud.
During competition, equipment breakdowns play a key role. The game automatically allocates a limited number of repair points, but we can increase them by towing the broken cars of rivals and helping them get out of dangerous situations. Drivers controlled by artificial intelligence are also able to rescue us when needed.
