JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R is a brawler that is a remaster of the game JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3. The production was developed by the Japanese studio Cyberconnect2, the authors of the original.
Storyline
True to its title, the game is based on the license of the Japanese comic book series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki, published since 1987 and repeatedly adapted into anime.
The production offers a story mode, recreating the first eight parts of the manga in a simplified form, allowing you to direct their characters and play the most important battles from each story.
Mechanics
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R is a classically realized 2.5D brawler. Thus, the fun consists of dueling using heroes, each with a unique fighting style. The graphics are done in 3D, but the characters move in two dimensions. The game features 50 playable characters from all the sagas of the comic book original, including Jonathan Joestar, DIO, Jotaro Kujo and Jolyne Cujoh.
Compared to the 2013 original, the remaster offers a heavily improved combat system. Controls and character balance have been improved, as well as additional techniques and combos. The game's cast also includes several new fighters - Yukako Yamagishi, Jotaro Kujo, F.F and Ikuro Hashizawa. The latter is the main character of Baoh: The Visitor, the manga that Hirohiko Araki created before JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Game modes
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R offers both solo play and multiplayer. Playing solo, we can, among other things, test ourselves in the All-Star Battle Mode, in which more than a hundred battles recreating the most important clashes from the manga await us.
The solo player can also have fun in the storyless Arcade Mode and the training variant, as well as use the virtual artwork gallery. Multiplayer, on the other hand, offers single-screen skirmishes and online PvP competition against other players.
